Oscar de la Renta is born on July 22nd in the Dominican Republic's vibrant capital city, Santo Domingo. His childhood spent in this tropical island, filled with color, flowers, and sunshine, has and continues to inspire his bright palette and beautiful designs.

Oscar de la Renta is an incredibly talented and much loved designer who worked for Balenciaga, made clothes for Elizabeth Arden and Lanvin and created his own highly successful ready to wear label. He has received continual recognition and accolades for his work and in 1990 was given the CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Oscar de la Rentas perfume has become equally as iconic as his clothing collections.
